  • Corgi publishes planning prices; Embroker’s pages that we read show none. [1][2]
  • Embroker was founded in 2015 and last announced funding in 2021. Corgi dates from 2024 and announced three rounds totaling $374M in 2026. [1][2]
  • Embroker also serves law firms, VC and PE firms, real estate agents and consultants. Corgi focuses on startups and tech companies, and is expanding into other lines such as trucking. [1][2]

Which might suit you

  • Corgi may suit you if you want price estimates up front and are comfortable with Corgi’s own insurers, including its risk retention group.
  • Embroker may suit you if you want a broker relationship and an AI endorsement with at least one published sublimit.

Whichever you choose, ask who the insurer is on each policy, its financial rating, and the limits and exclusions on the AI wording. See what AI startup insurance costs for published price data. Our AI clause scanner flags AI exclusions in policy text, and the underwriting questions checklist shows what you will be asked.
