Questions
What does an AI exclusion look like in a policy?
Usually a sentence saying the insurance does not apply to claims arising out of, based on or attributable to artificial intelligence, generative AI or content an AI system produced. Some are attached as separate forms, such as the ISO generative AI exclusions CG 40 47, CG 40 48 and CG 35 08 for general liability. The definition of AI in the policy decides how far the exclusion reaches.
What is affirmative AI cover?
Wording that says AI-related claims are covered, rather than leaving the policy silent. It often appears as an endorsement or as a 'notwithstanding' clause that carves AI work back into cover. Some affirmative AI cover comes with its own sublimit.
What if the scan finds nothing?
Then the text you pasted does not mention AI, which usually means it is silent on AI. A silent policy treats an AI-caused claim like any other claim under its terms. Check the forms schedule and endorsements, since AI exclusions are often separate documents.
Is my policy uploaded anywhere?
No. The scan runs in your browser. The text you paste is not sent to us or anyone else and is gone when you close the page.
No policy to hand? The coverage checker shows where AI risk usually lands by policy, and the AI exclusions tracker lists the forms and insurers writing AI out of cover.
